chicken.co.bw is now live. The site does two things.
First, it takes enquiries for chicken supply in Gaborone and the surrounding areas: live birds, dressed and frozen chicken, fresh eggs and day-old chicks, in single and bulk quantities for households, restaurants, caterers, retailers and farmers. Orders are placed through the enquiry form while the online shop is being prepared. Delivery to other areas is quoted on request.
Second, it publishes free reference content on chickens in Botswana: the indigenous Tswana chicken and the commercial breeds reared here, practical farming guides written for Botswana conditions, and plain explanations of how the country’s poultry industry works, from self-sufficiency to import permits. A monthly record of observed chicken prices in Gaborone will follow.
The content is compiled from government publications, the Competition and Consumer Authority and published research, and every industry page lists its sources. Corrections are welcome by email.
